You know I used to work in alcohol media - a drawback in my life record.
I voluntarily resigned from China's leading geographic travel media company, where I had worked for over a decade. At that time, my husband was working, and although our income would place us among the poorest in Sweden, in China, his income alone could support our family and take care of his parents.
So, I was unemployed, gave birth to another child, and spent about a year at home. Occasionally, I still write articles for my former employer. The reason for my resignation, you see, was that my previous position required me to perform many difficult tasks for the government.
I could do them well, but I became tired of it.
Then, an old male colleague with an impressive sales record approached me. He had earned the trust of the leadership and was authorized to explore a new field - expanding media in China's Baijiu (liquor) market, which has an annual revenue of 800 billion yuan. He needed my help. While nursing at home, I helped them complete some books on the relationship between alcohol and geography. Later, he sincerely invited me to join his team full-time.
