Save it as age one day

In early 2024, a student stared at my face for too long and said, “How old are you?”

Before hearing the answer, please know this: I am in mint condition. No wrinkles, no jingle, hardly aging. In other words, that day I cheerfully praised myself in another person's voice, so I said, “How old do you think I am?”

Before you hear the answer, let me tell you why I am in mint condition.

For twenty years, I have been protecting myself from the ravages of premature aging.

Why?

Because somewhere along the way, 300 million people told me that youth is beautiful, and beauty is everything.

This is power.

I am not saying that beautiful beauty is a good thing, right or fair. Just like Lyme disease and lime-flavored corn chips.

Beauty is a locking kit used to imprison emotions. It is a pair of moon springs on the steps, an easily accessible bottomless jar to the eyes, and it is also easy for big dreams and even bigger dreams.

Beauty is the aerodynamics of your life and also the permission for speed.
