Marx's former residence is located at 10 Brückenstraße, Trier, Germany.

The small town of Trier by the Rhine River, one of the oldest cities in Germany, was officially established during the ancient Roman period before Christ. Stepping onto Brückenstraße, I felt as if I had arrived in 1818.

Marx's former residence is a three-story building with creamy white wall decorations, brown door frames and window sills, and a gray exterior wall displaying the number 10. Next to the entrance of the Marx House Museum, there is a brown plaque with golden text that reads: "Karl Marx was born here on May 5, 1818."

Above the plaque is a side relief sculpture of Marx, as if he were right in front of me, smiling, with a wise light reflecting from his eyes.

This small building was constructed in 1727. On April 1, 1818, Marx's father rented this residence, and one month later, on May 5, Karl Marx was born here. From birth until graduating from high school, Marx lived here until he went to study at the universities in Bonn and Berlin. Here, he spent his youth, absorbing various knowledge, making friends, and experiencing the joys and sorrows of love.

Since we arrived in the evening, the museum was already closed. But when I touched the door of Marx's former residence, it felt as if there was a soul connection with Marx.

It was a spiritual touch, with the echo of "Workers of the world, unite!" resonating in my ears, deepening my admiration for Marx. I pondered how his thoughts influenced the world, how they affected China, and how they shaped the history of the world.

The core idea of Marxism is dialectical materialism, which emphasizes that the material world exists objectively, that matter is primary, and that consciousness is secondary, reflecting material conditions. Marxism also posits that social existence determines social consciousness, and that the economic base determines the superstructure.

"Capital" is one of Marx's important works, which elaborates on the nature, development, and demise of capitalist production relations, revealing the laws and trends of capitalist social development. "Capital" points out that the production relations of capitalism are based on the exploitative relationship between capital and labor, which cannot satisfy the growing material and cultural needs of the people, ultimately leading to its demise.

Marx's thoughts have had a profound impact on the development of the modern world. His ideas of dialectical materialism, social existence determining social consciousness, and economic base determining superstructure have played a significant guiding role in the proletarian revolution and socialist construction. He also revealed the laws and trends of capitalist social development, offering many forward-looking views and insights on the development and transformation of contemporary capitalism.

Marx's thoughts have far-reaching historical and practical significance. Through his works, we can recognize the greatness and correctness of the proletarian revolution. In the construction of socialism, we need to continuously absorb and apply Marx's thoughts. When facing social issues and developmental bottlenecks, we must adhere to dialectical materialism and objective existence, explore new modes of production and social forms, and create a better life.

I left Marx's former residence with thoughts and understanding, knowing that this visit would become an unforgettable memory in my life.

In every corner of the world, there are footprints of great people. We can understand their thoughts through reading books, but to truly comprehend them, one must personally visit the places where they lived. I believe that Marx's former residence is an educational base for Marxism; only by coming here can you feel Marx's presence and understand his life. The visit to Marx's former residence left me not only with traces of his life but also with his profound insights into capitalist society and his foresight for the future of the world.

This was an unforgettable and profound journey of intellectual awakening.
