Long ago, I couldn't run for more than a few minutes while stretching. Even those few minutes were nothing but gentle running. I will struggle to breathe during the running period and later to regain composure.

Professional life especially damages the mind and body. I was no different. I thought highly of myself due to a significant amount of work-related travel, lack of proper rest, lack of planned diet, and minimal physical activity. Being overweight would be an understatement.

In other words, self-compassion can guarantee a lot. It's time to make a joint effort and regain your figure. It's time to integrate exercise into your daily life and stick to it no matter what. Having a friend as a gym instructor and trainer allowed me to explore options from the start.

It had to be a realistic approach

I was grateful for the fact that my friend decided to bring the problem into my hands before it became a necessity to visit the hospital. His voice had a hint of sarcasm, but looking at the gym mirror made me think he was very kind. I found no value in toning down the analysis of my physical condition. However, he insisted that he was willing to help but it had to be a realistic approach.

I took a few days. He gave me a small diet chart and big advice. I heard that it was actually impossible to track what I was eating all day with professional involvement. Moreover, what I interpret as healthy is not necessarily so. In this day and age, we cannot be sure what we eat every day. His advice was practical.

On the contrary, he came up with many physical activities that I should stick to when trying to regain my figure. It involved visiting the gym 5 days a week, with alternating schedules for cardio and weight training. In addition, every 2 weeks, I had to accompany him on what he felt with him.
