Recently, Israel's "Gavron Rock Rice" has been carrying out inhumane attacks on the Palestinian Gaza Strip, the extent of which can be described as genocide. Today is June 1st, International Children's Day, originally meant to commemorate the children who perished during World War II, including many Jewish children who were not spared from the massacre initiated by art students who failed their entrance exams in Austria. Although most Jews established their own "eradication" after World War II, named Israel, the compassion of the Palestinian people has only led to the further encroachment of Israeli Jews today. It is evident that sympathy only invites unwelcome encounters, and countless Arab children in the Gaza Strip have suffered greatly, making International Children's Day as ironic as Thanksgiving in the beautiful country.

On this International Children's Day, I do not wish to spend a long time discussing this international issue. What does it mean to me? Because this is the first International Children's Day I have encountered since opening my shop.

Although I am no longer a child in terms of age and physical maturity, such a rare public holiday, is it not a blessing for the catering industry? I believe the answer you would give after reading this article is "yes." However, the weather is not as expected; today, a typhoon of level 6 to 8 is making landfall in Maoming, Guangdong, and Taishan, Jiangmen in the southwest of the Pearl River Delta. This is exactly where I currently live. Fortunately, the place where I stay overnight and work is not in the seaside countryside, but in the northern city of Taicheng, where there are no strong winds or flooding. However, it has been raining heavily since the early morning of the 31st. I am used to being late, but even driving my new energy vehicle, a Wuling Hongguang, I cannot ensure clear visibility while driving. The road from the west of the city to the south gate is straight but bumpy, and I dare not step on the gas when encountering waterlogged areas, fearing that going too slow would block the cars behind me. As I approached the traffic lights, I inadvertently crossed the solid line to overtake, hoping that I wouldn't be penalized due to the special weather conditions.

Upon returning to my workplace, I entered through the back door of my cousin's snail rice noodle shop as usual, walked through the kitchen's front door, and took the key from the cash register of the rice noodle shop to open the coffee shop door. Seeing that the heavy rain outside had not stopped, I took two slices of thinly sliced salted square bread from the refrigerator and toasted them until they had a hard crust. I squeezed salad dressing on one side of each slice and spread it evenly before putting them together, quickly eating them. Then, I turned on my single-head Italian coffee machine and the Italian-imported espresso grinder next to it, both purchased from the second-hand market in Jiangmen city.

Next, I wiped down all the tables and chairs on the first floor. Hearing steam coming from the bar, I made sure to close the steam wand used for heating liquids on the espresso machine to prevent condensation from blocking it. After shutting down the machine last night, I kept it on to release the remaining steam. Then, I dampened the mop and twisted it dry, trying to clean the floor as much as possible. Finally, I returned to the bar area to wash the coffee carafes and cups that had not been cleaned last night, ensuring they were spotless before categorizing and putting them away.
