Fortune is the luck that everyone in life hopes to have to encounter good fortune. However, not everything happens naturally, nor is it something that can be forced; the ancients pointed out that without these three things, one cannot achieve great things because they possess extremely valuable virtues that not everyone has, and they can even accomplish great deeds because heaven is moved by their hearts.

1. Do not get angry

The ancients said that anger leads to loss of reason, which is not wrong, as many people make mistakes when they are angry. In similar circumstances, if they remain calm, they would not cause unfortunate events. When anger strikes, it is hard to stop ugly words from escaping the mouth, uttering insults that can hurt the listener, even those who love and care for them. Throughout our lives, we encounter many unsatisfactory things, but getting angry will only plunge our lives deeper into suffering.

Therefore, a person who can achieve great things is also because they have the ability to control their temper well; they manage their emotions when faced with accusations and abuses from others, or when confronted with unfavorable situations. Challenge yourself by not getting angry and staying calm. Tang Guo Pian also said: "When faced with events, one must remain calm and gentle; if the mood is panicked and anxious, there will be mistakes in handling the situation." Thus, when facing emotionally chaotic situations, reason and wisdom also disappear, making it easy to make mistakes. Do not let anger easily overwhelm you; remind yourself to stay clear-headed and escape that anger.

If faced with unsatisfactory matters, do not rush to make decisions; give yourself time to calm down. There is a story about a man who owned a very precious purple ceramic vase. Because he loved the vase, he placed it at the head of his bed every night before sleeping. One time, he accidentally turned over and knocked the vase to the ground, thinking that the lid had broken. In his anger, he thought keeping the body of the vase was useless, so he threw it out the window. However, the next morning he realized that the lid was fine because it had fallen right onto his slippers.

The man was very regretful because he thought he had thrown away the vase, so keeping the lid was useless. Thinking that way, he crushed the lid with his foot, and when he stepped out the door, he looked up and saw that the vase he had thrown out the night before was stuck in a tree, so it was fine. At that moment, he burst into tears out of regret and remorse. From this story, we can see that his haste and anger made him overlook all his fortunate opportunities. Only those who are truly mature and rational enough can control the situation, keeping their minds calm like a still lake to restrain their emotions and remain composed.

2. Do not complain

Difficulties are the foundation of life; life experiences always leave us battered. Only when we have been beaten down can we face difficulties with the most peaceful attitude, without anger or complaints. When we know how to endure pressure and remain resilient, even in the most bewildering and desperate circumstances, we will still be strong. If you fall to the bottom of a pit and choose to give up, then heaven will also choose to give up on you. Therefore, making excuses when failing is the greatest enemy of success. When faced with difficulties, when you no longer seek excuses for your own failures, that is when you are close to success. We all know that being born into this world, we always have countless things that do not go as we wish.

For example, my family is not wealthy, my parents are too busy to take care of me properly, I do not get to attend prestigious schools, etc. However, if every time we encounter something unsatisfactory, our common reaction is to complain, this not only brings no benefit but also makes those around us feel uncomfortable. If a person always complains that life is too hard and their fate is not good, then they will never be able to overcome their own barriers.

People who often complain and criticize only show an attitude of ingratitude, not appreciating the good things in their lives. Such people tend to be negative, seeing only narrow paths and not finding opportunities to rise. In fact, no matter how excellent you are, there will be times when you find yourself powerless. This means that you do not have enough ability to solve the problems you encounter, which means you must find ways to improve your own capabilities. Do not complain uselessly, and do not let yourself feel hopeless. When you find ways to rise up, you can improve the situation and easily solve everything.

When faced with difficulties, complaining is always a poor choice; reset your mindset to find solutions, which is the best option to resolve difficulties. In fact, the ancients have a saying: "Enduring hardship is a blessing," meaning that accepting to endure hardship is wise. In this world, capable people are not born with abilities; every little improvement is a blessing after enduring hardship. Each time like this helps us enhance our capabilities, but conversely, some people who endure hardship complain about their suffering, which makes them easily irritable and troubled.

Every time they suffer a loss, they do not think about what they can gain from the loss but rather how to recover what has been lost. At this moment, the mindset of enduring hardship and the coping methods will lead to very different capabilities for each person. Ultimately, those who endure losses without ever getting angry are mostly capable individuals; they can do wonderful things that not everyone can think of to change their lives and this world.

3. Do not force things

The ancients have a saying: "Fate brings people together over a thousand miles; without fate, they cannot meet face to face." Therefore, everything that comes and goes in life is fate and does not need to be forced. In life, there are many things we cannot control; whether gain or loss is the realm of life. Striving to make everything joyful and harmonious in every encounter is the best attitude to live by. The famous educator, Mr. Xia Mian Zun, once visited Master Huang Yi.

While they were eating, Xia Mian Zun saw Master Huang Yi only eating pickled vegetables and asked if he did not find the pickled vegetables too salty. Master Huang Yi replied that salty has its own flavor and is quite delicious. After the meal, Xia Mian Zun continued to see Master Huang Yi only drinking boiled water and wondered if he did not need a bit of tea, did he really only drink boiled water every day? Master Huang Yi said: Although plain water is bland, bland also has its own flavor. Indeed, truly wise people do not stop pursuing life but know not to force things, can endure boredom, and know how to accept the ups and downs of life.

The old saying goes: "To gain something, one must lose something; if one insists on taking everything without knowing how to let go, then nothing can be gained." The impermanence of the world relies on each other; forcing too much is actually making things difficult for oneself. Do not force what you cannot have; do not rush to do what you cannot do. Be a little more indifferent and do everything calmly, and your life will be much more comfortable.

Life is a journey with no way back, so we do not need to force anything too much, nor should we be overly concerned about trivial matters. When you face life with a calm attitude, the path will be smoother. A person who can remain unangered, uncomplaining, and unforced is indeed rare in this world. If you encounter those who possess these three qualities, they can achieve great things, for sooner or later, they will have a prosperous day. They are truly worthy of deep connections.
