I am not a salad person, so I bathe in A1 and Au Jus.

I bought 2 bags of croutons and 3 bottles of salad dressing, and now the croutons are gone. I bought these items in another attempt to become a person who eats salad, not the person I was before, not someone who is not a person. One of the ordinary people, who respect their bodies and the earth. Instead, I am someone who eats croutons like chips from a bag. I consumed A1 sauce straight from the bottle and will happily bathe in Au Jus. My body exists for war.

This is not my first salad, but this time my intention was particularly premeditated. In May, I planted this loose-leaf lettuce (I don’t know the name of the lettuce, but it’s not the round ball type). It’s right outside the kitchen window of the small flower box, where I can see it every day, mocking me as it sways in the wind. And finally, as the salad grew beyond the flower box, I went to the grocery store to get croutons, which would be the most important ingredient for a salad beginner. The dressing seems equally important, so I bought Greek vinaigrette, house Italian, and restaurant-style Italian. Is this good dressing? I hope so…
