F Rankly, I do not believe in Fortune Tellers. However, I am always curious about what they say. That is why I listened to the skepticism when a psychic in Palo Alto, California made the following prediction.
“Someday in the future, you will find a type of job that is different from what you are used to. You may not want to take it, but it will be very good for you.”
Sitting in front of a TV camera, speaking into a microphone, or writing stories for a major city newspaper is the kind of work used. An attractive job. The psychic was a beautiful young woman, but I was sure her prediction was filled with crushed grain.
Years later, I quickly moved to a suburban community about 40 miles from Atlanta, Georgia. I just heard from an A-List literary agent in New York that they could not find a publisher for the short story collection I wrote.
