I have always dreamed of living in a hot country where summer never ends. But I never believed it would come true. I knew I would be stuck in Central Europe, enduring a cold winter every year, which is not really my favorite.

Everything changed when I went to Tanzania for my first holiday. What had to happen, happened. I met my husband there. I didn't know how we would be able to continue our relationship over such a long distance, let alone live together, but I knew I had to follow my heart, even though I couldn't see any future. We are so different. He is a Maasai, from a tribe that lives in traditional huts in the forest and takes care of cattle.

It was not easy at all. First of all, I was even a coward to tell my family. Months later, a day came. My mom was crying, and my sister stopped to talk to me. Just like in that story about the white Maasai.

Another day, my mom threw some magazines on the table in front of me, featuring stories about the white Maasai.

My response was clear. Yes, I know, but that is not my story. She firmly believed I would overcome it...
